We have had a very cold winter, and now that we are in the country the items we have from Patagonia have helped our little one stay very warm and cozy! I heard about Patagonia's Traceable Down from a friend and read about it online right away. I have to admit, this is not something I really knew about! I am glad that I am aware of it now because it is awful how much of the down is obtained in many companies. Patagonia is one of the few that ensures their down is plucked humanely.

The cotton is not grown with the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and synthetic fertilizers, it is not produced with toxic flame retardants, they usually use low impact dyes. It's better for the baby, better for you, and better for the environment! The more organic clothes are purchased, the more companies that will make them and the more prices will go down (that's the idea right?).

danish woolen delight, baby hats + night soaker

I had the opportunity to review two sweet baby hats and a nighttime diaper soaker from Danish Woolen Delight. The company is based in Vermont and mainly imports their organic wool products from LANACare in Denmark as well as Hocosa in Switzerland and NaturaPura in Portugal. Danish Woolen Delight was started by a nurse whose background was in textile design. I loved the ease of use of their website, and it seems like I would be happy with just about anything they offer.
